MAKE-UP AIR UNITS
Make-Up Air Units
The design of the make-up air system will have the single largest affect on the hood performance. Make-up air is dedicated to “making up” the air being exhausted. Make-up air is introduced into the kitchen at an equal rate to the air being exhausted by the kitchen hood.

About Us
Direct Air Systems was founded over 10 years ago to market services and products to the Food Service professionals, who design, purchase or install commercial cooking operations. DAS was a pioneer in “package” concepts of a complete system of captures hoods, fans and make-up air units to ensure the proper balance of all components.
Our ventilation systems have been designed with the economy of acquisition, operation costs, and employee comfort in mind. All components are carefully selected and recommended to meet those ends.
DAS has a wide range of products: hoods with proven air flows, tempered make-up air units, air handling devices, and absolute filtration systems. Our products are designed to promote fast and easy installation and maximum performance. We pride ourselves in our engineering knowledge, involvement with UL, ETL and CKV testing and evaluation labs, and our experience with cooking equipment to design and apply them.
